Water Pollution
Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies by high concentrations of harmful substances which have a detrimental (harm) effect on living organisms and the ecosystem. Substances that create pollution are called as pollutants . There are a lot of ways that create pollution by humans and natural causes .
Some natural causes of water pollution are :

- Earthquakes

- Industrial Wastes
- Domestic Wastes

Water pollution , whether it is due to natural reasons or human activities , adversely affects aquatic lives and had proved to be deadly for humans and other living creatures .

- Depletion of Oxygen
- Poisoning of Food Chain
- Death of Aquatic Animals
- Diseases
- Agriculture
Water carries disease-causing microbes and have high levels of dissolved salts such and minerals , heavy metals and suspended solids . Using such water for cooking or drinking can lead to illness and can even cause death .that is why we all should purify water before drinking .

- Chlorination
- Boiling

- Reduction of Waste
- Treatment of Sewage
