Salt and Color Magic: My Jellyfish Art

Jelly Fish With Salt And Water Colors

Have you ever tried painting with salt? It's so much fun and gives your art a cool, textured look! I recently made a jellyfish using just glue, salt, and some bright colors—and I’m so excited to share how I did it.

First, I drew the shape of the jellyfish on a sheet of thick paper. I made sure to give it a big, round top and wavy tentacles at the bottom. Then, I traced over the lines with glue—just regular white glue from a bottle.

While the glue was still wet, I sprinkled salt all over it, just like you do with glitter. The salt stuck to the glue and made the whole jellyfish look sparkly and rough. Now came the fun part—painting!

I used a brush with watercolors and gently touched the salt with color. The paint spread like magic! I used a mix of red, orange, purple, and black to give it a fiery, underwater look. The salt made the colors blend beautifully, and it gave the jellyfish a 3D effect.
